Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled 360 Operator to join our team for a civil engineering project in Norwich starting on 16th December 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to assist with various tasks on-site, including groundworks, excavation, and other civil engineering duties.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work on an exciting, large-scale civils project with the potential for long-term work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a 360-degree excavator for a variety of tasks including excavation, lifting, and material handling.
  • Assist with general civil engineering tasks such as trenching, ground preparation, and site clearance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure that the machinery is operated in a safe manner at all times.
  • Work closely with the site supervisor and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain the machinery in good working condition and report any faults or issues to the site manager.
  • Ensure work is completed to high standards, on time, and within budget.
  • Follow instructions from site supervisors and other senior team members.
  • Comply with site rules and health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
  • Must hold CPCS or NPORS certification for operating a 360-degree excavator.
  • Proven experience in operating 360-degree excavators on civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous experience in groundworks or civil engineering preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Full PPE required (site will provide some PPE, but personal protective equipment is the responsibility of the candidate).
