We are working with a local charity in the heart of Norwich in their search for a Head of Finance for approx. 12 months. Responsibilities will be centred around managing the Trust's financial resources and ensuring compliance with financial and statutory obligations. The position requires strong leadership, financial management, system development, and collaboration skills to support the organization in achieving its goals.

Main Duties:

Lead and develop the Finance team to provide high-quality support across the organization.

Develop accounting systems and processes for robust financial reporting and decision-making.

Ensure proper recording and accounting of income and expenditure in compliance with policies and regulations.

Maintain strong and effective financial controls within the organisation.

Provide timely and accurate financial information, including income, expenditure, balance sheets, and cash flow.

Oversee the year-end process, including preparation of statutory financial statements and managing audits.

Manage day-to-day banking and ensure effective cash flow planning.

Ensure effective tracking of income and expenditure for grants, projects, and restricted funds.

Assist in long-term financial planning for teh charity and its subsidiaries.

Oversee and support the production of detailed annual budgets and forecasts.

Develop and produce accurate and timely monthly reports.

Ensure proper accounting for capital and fixed assets.

Foster continuous improvement within the finance function.

Stay updated on financial legislation and regulations affecting the charity sector.

Perform additional duties and projects as agreed with the Director of Finance and Support Services.
