Job Opportunity: Assistant Estimator

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have strong Excel and spreadsheet skills, and an eye for detail? We’re seeking an Estimator to join our team – no formal qualifications required, but relevant experience or background in construction or public sector contracts is ideal.

About the Role:This role is perfect for someone with experience in data analysis, project support, or cost management who’s looking to grow into an estimator role. You will be responsible for project costing, budget forecasting, and analysis while using your advanced Excel skills to manage data and provide critical insights to support our team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Excel skills: Intermediate to advanced (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation)
  • Some experience in data analysis, project coordination, or a related field
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • A problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to industry-specific estimation tools
  • The ability to present on large tender bids and justify your costings
  • Ability to work on multi million pound contracts
