OVERVIEW: PLUMBING & GAS TUTOR / ASSESSOR
An opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly growing training provider, we are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Gas Tutor, to join their successful team.
Based from a training centre in Norwich, you will be responsible for the delivery of Plumbing & Gas apprenticeships to learners. You will already hold the relevant Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent), and ideally a teaching qualification, and have experience delivering training in a previous role. There will be an opportunity to work from home on some days, when not required in the centre.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: PLUMBING & GAS TUTOR / ASSESSOR
- Train, assess, motivate and support learners on programmes towards achieving apprenticeship qualifications, including Functional skills
- Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved electrical training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
- Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: PLUMBING & GAS TUTOR / ASSESSOR
- A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 etc.)
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- Functional Skills qualifications at Level 2 (desirable)
- L3 Plumbing & Gas qualification
- A minimum 5 years' occupational experience within the Plumbing & Gas industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary
- Experience working with young people
- Full UK Driving License and use of own vehicle
