A manufacturing company based in Norwich is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and streamline warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in setting up warehouse systems from scratch and must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, utilizing strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, local driving duties will be part of the position. The warehouse facility spans 42,000 square feet.

  • Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while ensuring smooth information flow.
  • Implement and manage quality control procedures for all incoming materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, variances, or issues to senior management promptly.
  • Organize daily delivery schedules to meet business needs.
  • Review shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring completeness and preparing additional paperwork as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and annual inventory checks, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to address stock shortages or operational challenges.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Keep shipment records updated in electronic tracking systems.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security protocols within the warehouse.
  • Verify the accuracy of HS codes and values in accounting systems and shipping documentation.
  • Keep all databases and records up to date.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and structured warehouse environment.
  • Organize stock efficiently in line with warehouse procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required to support warehouse operations.
