We are seeking for Assistant Headteacher/SENDCo to join our client's team.

The Assistant Headteacher/SENDCo plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic leadership and management of the school, ensuring high standards of education and care for all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role involves coordinating and leading the school's SEND provision, developing inclusive practices, and working collaboratively with staff, students, and external agencies to enhance learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

路Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school.
路Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and policies.
路Provide guidance and support to staff on effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.
路Work with parents, carers, and external professionals to coordinate personalised learning plans.
路Assist in whole-school leadership and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

路Qualified Teacher Status
路Postgraduate level qualification
路NPQ Award
路SENCO qualification
路Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
路A good understanding of how children and those with SEND learn
路Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of the pupils
路Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils
路Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
路Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
路Good ICT skills
路Current knowledge of EHCPs
路Full UK driving license and access to your own car
