Atrium Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of the client for SEND Teaching Assistant. We are looking for someone who holds experience of working with children/young people with SEND and who would thrive knowing that they make a difference to young people's lives.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
- Provide support and guidance to students in various subjects
- Assist with curriculum development and preparation of teaching materials
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime and other activities
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices and have good understanding of how children and those with SEND learn
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other staff members
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children
