Account Manager

Our client, a leading procurement company based on the outskirts of Norwich, are currently seeking an Account Manager to join their Fuel Team.

This is a full time, permanent role, based in Norwich, working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Job purpose and overview:

You will be responsible for leading on Member Service Requirements with the Procurement Manager and facilitating the smooth migration of key product areas to ecommerce platforms where relevant.

As the Account Manager, you will be focused on simplifying and digitising the Fuel procurement processes, ensuring our members receive expert Fuel account management support along with excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing members with expert fuel guidance along with account management support on all core and ancillary product lines
  • Service Member Fuel requirements received via telephone/email/ ecommerce platforms
  • Promptly answer calls with excellent levels of customer service
  • Dealing with order processing and enquiries ensuring the best prices and required delivery timescales
  • Servicing Fuelcard and Fuel/LPG Top up services
  • Ensure members are kept updated with progress on their orders
  • Taking responsibility of all failed quotations to identify and report reasons for procurement resolution
  • Identify new business opportunities for and work towards increasing member commitment
  • Supporting any proactive seasonal calling campaigns to ensure our members are aware of all products and services and upselling whenever possible
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required
  • Ability to work outside of usual office hours as and when required. You may also be asked to represent the company outside of the office
  • Assist the invoicing teams where necessary to facilitate prompt member/supplier query/billing resolution

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Learn about new technologies
  • Write clear and convincing proposals
  • Undertake analysis and summarise findings clearly
  • Strong IT and data management skills including all Microsoft Packages
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Previous experience working in a customer service industry
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Patience with non-technical people

  • Basic knowledge of ecommerce platforms and handling online order requests
