Warehouse Operations ManagerSnetterton, Norfolk£40k-£45k My client is an extremely well-established 3PL provider, operating out of many depots across the UK and we are delighted to support in their search for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join and lead the team at their site near Snetterton. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day distribution aspects of this busy and vibrant depot, ensuring all KPI targets are met and customer expectations delivered. You will be capable of identifying, proposing and delivering strategic business opportunities and efficiencies, as well as improving current performance in existing service levels, with a real focus on operational activities. Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Ensure required warehouse & distribution procedures and processes are in place and adhered to and within required legislation.
  • Control of Distribution costs & deliver within budget.
  • Work with all teams to implement improvements across all departments, people and culture.
  • To develop and implement new SOP’s and ensure an air of continuous improvement across all distribution activities.
  • Motivate all staff to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • To ensure that the KPI results are to agreed targets and/or plans are in place to achieve set targets.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stock Management – minimal shrinkage.
  • Recruit, train & develop staff.
  • Set & manage objectives for staff.
  • Maintain Health & Safety procedures.
  • To review and control all personnel issues i.e., recruitment, training, setting and achievement of targets, staff disciplinary, maintenance of personnel files, staff contracts of employment, staff assessment etc.
 Key Skills:
  • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Excellent communication, motivational and leadership skills.
  • Flexible in your approach.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
