Legal Compliance Officer - Norwich

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Compliance Administrator / Officer to join a highly regarded firm based in Norwich.

This opportunity would see playing a key role within the firm, with a focus on delivering a highly efficient and top-quality service to the firm’s management team and wider team of solicitors, whilst providing an exceptional service to the firms’ clients.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with client on-boarding processes by incepting new clients or amending existing records, performing searches and conflict checks in accordance with Compliance and Anti money Laundering (AML) regulation and internal protocols.
  • Supporting with AML compliance and due diligence checks, including international client due diligence and international client inception vetting and assisting with AML risk assessments.
  • Administering the full range of compliance registers such as complaints, professional indemnity claims and regulatory breaches.
  • Setting up new colleagues, dealing with user enquiries, monitoring a range of entries made by colleagues.
  • Assisting with administration around the preparation for accreditation audits.
  • Perform sanction list checks including notices from HM Government, against records.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SRA Accounts Rules and accounting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively and collegiately with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships.

Candidates will ideally hold experience working within a Law firm and will hold a strong knowledge and understanding of Anti-money laundering (AML) compliance processes / procedures.
