About Our Client

On behalf of our client, a rapidly growing R&D company, we are seeking ambitious and enthusiastic graduates to join their dynamic R&D Team.

The Role

As part of a skilled team, you will be responsible for writing comprehensive and technical R&D reports for submission to HMRC. This role is not finance or accountancy-based, but it requires a desire to train to become a Tax Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to develop into client-facing or leadership roles within a friendly, supportive, and motivated organisation. Their client values employee interaction for learning and has developed a positive and influential team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on R&D and innovation in target sectors (predominantly Architecture & Engineering).
  • Collaborate with directors of innovative start-ups and businesses across the UK.
  • Write detailed and technical R&D reports for submission to HMRC.
  • Attend client meetings and take comprehensive project notes.
  • Stay updated on UK tax developments and their implications for clients.

Training and Development

While prior knowledge of tax is beneficial, it is not essential. Our client offers full training for professional accreditation (ATT-CTA) after a 6-month probation period.

Candidate Requirements

  • Attitude: Positive and eager to learn.
  • Education: Graduate with a minimum 2:2 degree.
  • Skills: Excellent written skills and attention to detail; good listener and communicator; adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism: Comfortable interacting with clients; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest: A keen interest in business operations is advantageous.

Salary and Benefits

  • Flexible Working Hours: Monday to Friday, hybrid working options.
  • Competitive Salary: Starting at £25,000, rising to £27,000 post-probation, with a clear 4-year progression plan to £40,000.
