- Lead customer and certification audits, ensuring contractual requirements are met.
- Oversee supplier quality assurance, including domestic and international on-site document reviews and inspections.
- Develop and manage Product Inspection & Test Plans (Control Plans) and Customer Quality Specifications.
- Compile and manage documentation packs, including records, certificates, and reports.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Perform dimensional inspections and compile detailed reports.
- Manage non-conformance reporting and resolution.
- BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to produce inspection and test plans in line with defence contractor requirements.
- Knowledge of welding, paint specifications, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with national, EU, and international standards and processes.
- Experience in material certification verification (3.1) and calibration methods for mechanical tooling.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience working with defence contracts and within a defence environment.
- ISO9001 certified auditor.
- Understanding of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Experience with electric motors and generators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficient in the use of inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, depth gauges, vernier callipers).
