Your new companyOur client is a national contractor who specialises in commercial projects predominantly in the leisure, healthcare, education and defence sectors. They work across private and public sectors and currently have a growing pipeline of works due to commence in the East of England.Your new roleYou will work alongside the commercial project team assisting on all commercial aspects of the project, providing commercial support and maintaining commercial information, and ensuring compliance with the contractual requirements. You will assist with monitoring contract progress against the agreed programmes, control costs against agreed budgets/end cost forecasts, prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts, prepare, and agree any necessary claims for reimbursements and for loss and expense and will liaise with the customers and third parties on all commercial matters. As an assistant quantity surveyor, you will be aware of any potential implications for dispute resolution and also contribute to development of appropriate quality, health and safety, welfare, and risk management on site. What you'll need to succeedYou will have some experience of working as an assistant quantity surveyor, ideally on commercial projects, and hold a BSc or HND in a commercially related field.
