Accounts Receivable Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to support our finance team as an Accounts Receivable Assistant. This role involves managing day-to-day administration and financial processes, focusing on Accounts Receivable tasks within our finance department. The ideal candidate will be adept at following standard processes and meeting deadlines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Create and edit invoices for all sites.
  • Check all currency bank accounts for customer payments, allocating payments correctly and logging on the AR Debtors spreadsheet.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets to ensure accurate recording of remittances and cash flow reporting.
  • Handle internal and external phone calls, taking appropriate actions or forwarding as necessary.
  • Monthly preparation of reports as per Month End operating procedures.
  • Manage unapplied cheques and prepare Customer Credit Limit reports.
  • Prepare Recharge invoices for the finance team at the end of each month.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Competent with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • AAT qualification or currently working towards it.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
