P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting for a Women’s Housing Senior Practitionerto join their team based in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide vital support for women experiencing homelessness with a primary focus on helping them with access and maintain safe and secure housing.
  • The post-holder will be based within a facility, who have an excellent track record of building trusted relationships with women who have experienced sexual violence, abuse and exploitation.
  • You will be required to provide gender and trauma-informed support for women who face multiple disadvantages including poor mental health, isolation and substance use and to work closely with different agencies in response to client need.
  • Collaboration with other agencies to address the unique needs of each woman is a key aspect of this role.
  • As a Senior Practitioneryou will ensure that high-quality, effective and safe services are in place to provide the best support to women.
  • You will act as a point of contact for team members in relation to clients and provide case management and ensure effective referral pathways are in place.
  • To support Practitioners to communicate clearly, honestly and respectfully in terms of client need ensuring that professional boundaries and practices are proportionate to identified risks and need.
  • Safeguarding will be a top priority and you will be required to undertake training to be a Designated Safeguarding Officer and be responsible for managing safeguarding concerns.
  • Overseeing the completion of relevant internal and external safeguarding reporting and assisting with internal safeguarding training and learning sessions.
  • This role should recognise and address the diverse range of clients’ needs, paying attention to increasing access for those who face barriers to accessing services, including language barriers, racism, disability, sexuality, gender, mental or physical health or substance misuse.

Person specification:

  • Due to the nature of the role, it is a General Occupational Requirement that this position be filled by a female.
  • This role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
