Wellbeing Department Lead/ Therapy Department Lead - Do you want to be part of a transformative journey that makes a difference in the lives of survivors?

We are looking for two passionate department leads, a Wellbeing Department Lead for our Wellbeing Team and a Therapy Department Lead for our Therapies Team to join our dedicated teams in Ipswich, covering Suffolk and Norfolk!

With a foundation rooted in trauma-informed practices, SiT creates safe, inclusive spaces that promote healing, empowerment, and social change.

About the role:

As the successful Wellbeing Department Lead or Therapy Department Lead at SiT, you will be at the forefront of our mission, leading a passionate and dedicated team to support survivors of sexual violence. Your strategic insight and trauma-informed care expertise will be crucial in driving departmental objectives, ensuring the effective delivery of our services, and fostering a culture of empowerment and respect.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee a department (Wellbeing or Therapies), ensuring resource allocation meets the demand across various projects.
  • Safeguarding escalation point for both adult and children
  • Oversee risk management processes such as MARAC and MASH
  • Coordinate weekly allocation processes to meet contractual timescales and manage waiting lists.
  • Plan and resource cover and support mechanisms for staff and subcontracted therapists.
  • Foster communication with system partners to facilitate seamless referrals.
  • Deploy strategic planning within the department, ensuring measurable outputs and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Contribute to system-wide meetings and represent SiT in stakeholder engagements.
  • Ensure data protection compliance
  • Collaborate with the finance coordinator to manage departmental budgets and address DNAs and late cancellations.
  • Produce high-quality reports and data insights to inform decision-making
  • Lead recruitment and induction processes for new and existing roles

About you:

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Mental Health, or Social Care. With over five years of service management experience and safeguarding experience, you should possess a deep understanding of sexual violence and trauma-informed care. Your skillset must include advanced safeguarding, excellent IT and data analysis capabilities, and the ability to work autonomously while innovating within professional guidelines. You have strong organisational and time management skills, a clean driver's licence, and a non-judgmental, client-centred approach to your work as well as a good sense of humour.
