SEN Teaching Assistant – Quidenham - Easter

A specialist school in Quidenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a structured and nurturing environment, helping them develop confidence, independence, and key life skills. 

The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive. Role Details:

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASD. 
  • Assist in delivering structured and personalised learning activities. 
  • Support students in developing social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. 
  • Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies. 
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN specialists to tailor learning approaches. 
  • Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students. 

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Experience working with children with ASD in a school or specialist setting. 
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) – essential. 
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support student progress. 
  • A passion for inclusive education and helping children with SEN thrive.
