Patient Transfer Service Call Handler

  • Full Time Call Handler to work on our Patient Transport Service contract
  • Hours from 0800-2000 some weekends and possibly  bank holidays . 
  • To start Mon 17th March for 12 weeks
  • £12.08 per hour plus weekend enhancements (£17.03 Saturdays and £22.10 Sundays and Bank Holidays)
  • Possible Temp to Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Call Advisor to join our team in Norwich. This role involves taking inbound non-emergency calls from the public and coordinating the booking of necessary services from healthcare professionals, emergency services, and community organisations. The position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Answer operational calls that come into the contact centre in a professional and timely manner.
  • Utilise appropriate software and triaging tools to provide accurate assistance over the telephone.
  • Coordinate with other organisations to book necessary services such as nurse visits and patient transport.
  • Maintain interaction with the public and professionals, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Handle calls that may involve difficult patients or sensitive subject matters with empathy and professionalism.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Proficient use of computers and various software applications.
  • Strong listening skills to accurately understand and respond to callers’ needs.
  • An empathetic nature, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and discretion.
