Reed Finance are excited to be recruiting for a Payroll Team Leader to join our clients Payroll Services team in Norwich. This role is crucial as our client expands due to increased demand for their services. You will play a key role in supporting and nurturing their payroll team and delivering top-notch payroll services.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support and nurture the Payroll Team, providing cover and support to the Payroll Manager.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and ensure the team is informed.
  • Represent the Payroll Services Team within the company’s network.
  • Oversee the annual P11D services provided by the team.
  • Deliver end-to-end payroll services.
  • Engage with franchisees and clients to build rapport and offer solutions and direction.
  • Manage multiple cases for franchisees and clients concurrently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Previous team leader experience.
  • Highly proficient in payroll calculations, statutory payments, automatic enrolment, and other payroll-related legislation.
  • Confident in using payroll software.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP for data analysis).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Keen interest in improving systems and processes, adaptable to and leading change.
  • Organised, able to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Team leader experience within a payroll team.
  • Experience working within a bureau payroll service.
