Alexander Daniels is working with a growing business in Nottingham that is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join its close-knit finance team. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-driven individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and producing financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver timely monthly management accounts and internal reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Contribute to cost control strategies and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Perform regular reconciliations and ensure adherence to financial compliance standards.
  • Oversee customer invoicing cycles and assist in reviewing pricing structures.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on job costing and financial performance analysis.
  • Support VAT return preparation and submissions.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proficiency with financial software and strong Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise across departments and with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
