Accounts Assistant - Nottingham - Full-time, Permanent - £25,000 - £30,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a thriving SME based in Nottingham, seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and social back-office team. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering a fantastic opportunity to support all aspects of transactional finance within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase and Sales Ledger Management: Oversee the entire purchase and sales ledger processes.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Carry out bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
  • Supplier Reconciliations: Manage supplier accounts and ensure all reconciliations are up to date.
  • Client Liaison: Resolve accounts payable and receivable queries by communicating directly with clients.
  • General Office Admin: Provide administrative support to the office team when required.
  • Ad Hoc Finance Duties: Assist with additional finance-related tasks as needed.
About You:

We are looking for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is eager to get involved in their core finance duties, while also offering support across the business. This role requires you to work quickly and accurately, especially with the high volume of monthly invoices, so strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Experience/Skills Required:
  • Previous experience managing purchase ledgers in a high-volume environment.
  • Confident in communicating directly with customers and clients.
  • Credit control experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
