This role plays a vital part in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Public Law Team. The Team Assistant ensures smooth administrative and file management support, ensuring that all required documents are processed, organised, and compliant. The role is critical in supporting the fee earners and Practice Assistants by translating their needs into practical solutions, keeping everything running efficiently.

You will be working 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

What does the role actually involve?
  1. Client & Marketing Support:

    • Helping schedule and organise tender meetings, interviews, and client training.

    • Updating client and prospect information within the firm's system.

    • Ensuring client protocols and procedures are understood and followed.

  2. File Management:

    • Maintaining and updating both electronic and paper files.

    • Opening and closing files, ensuring compliance with internal standards.

    • Assisting with archiving and ensuring proper document management.

  3. Event and Travel Coordination:

    • Organising seminars, conferences, and internal events.

    • Handling logistics, including booking travel and ordering promotional materials.

  4. Administrative Support:

    • Performing general administrative tasks such as answering calls, printing, scanning, and making travel arrangements.

    • Assisting the PA with billing, expenses, and other ad hoc requests.

What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role?
  • Relevant Office-based Administration Experience: Ideally in a legal or corporate environment.

  • Document Management/Case Management Systems: Experience with these is essential for managing files and documents.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills: The ability to use office software to manage schedules, documents, and data.
