Sellick Partnership are recruiting on behalf of a Public Sector client for a Governance Manager on a temporary ongoing basis, with the potential for a permanent opportunity in the future.

This role is perfect for a Public Sector/Housing or NHS PA, Data Protection or Governance professional looking for their next step in a progression organisation.

Duties of the Governance Manager

  • Providing support to the CEO and Exec Team
  • Meeting the Governance responsibilities
  • Ensuring the regulatory and governance responsibilities, ensuring that all standing orders, policies, and procedures around governance are met
  • Acting as the Data Privacy Manager for the organisation
  • Providing administrative support to ensure the upkeep of the Risk Register and to act as the Company Secretary.
  • Enabling the smooth running of meetings, including preparing and distributing papers, room bookings, providing refreshments, meeting, and greeting external visitors etc.
  • Providing training for all staff on Compliance issues and evaluating the impact of data breaches

Requirements for the Governance Manager are:

  • Undertaking a similar role of servicing committee meetings, dealing with regulatory bodies and maintaining formal company records.
  • Relevant PA or secretarial experience in an office environment
  • Comprehensive experience of complex minute taking.
  • Understanding of governance processes.
  • Experience of a good level of expertise in software applications i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher and Power point.
