Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Formwork & FalseworkIndustry Sector: Construction, Formwork & Falsework, Shoring, Groundwork, Temporary Works Construction Hire, Trenching, Pilling, Propping, Civil Engineering, Specialist Formwork & Falsework Sub-Contractors and Main Contractors

Area to be covered: Leicester, Nottingham, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire

Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 + £10,000-£15,000 Bonus

Benefits: Hybrid Car (or allowance of £500 per month) + full benefits packageThe role of the Formwork & Falsework Area Sales Manager will involve:

  • Technical field sales position, selling predominantly the hire of formwork and falsework equipment
  • 80% proactively stimulating demand for equipment through end users and main contractors
  • 20% of your time reactively dealing with well established relationships within formwork and falsework sub contractors
  • Inheriting an area with that has suffered with poor field sales representation
  • Tasked with building the area up to £750,000
  • Following up on Barbour ABI leads and your own industry contacts
  • Large proportion of time will be spent on construction sites
  • Project can be multi million pound, but contractor accounts tend to turnover £40,000-£50,000 per annum
  • Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support

The ideal applicant will be a Formwork & Falsework Area Sales Manager with:

  • Formwork or Falsework technical field sales experience
  • May also consider temporary works field sales background
  • Hire industry knowledge is not essential but may be advantageous
  • Contacts within formwork and falsework sub-contractors is desirable
  • Construction site experience, may consider "on the tools" experience looking for field sales role
  • Strong new business skills
  • Energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic
  • Mix of construction and engineering background preferred
