Senior Technical Sales Manager
Location: Nottingham
Salary: 45k (DOE) + company car
Hours: Mon-Fri

Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a successful, growing manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Manager. Our client is looking for somebody with a high level of experience within Sales and Manufacturing.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and increasing company sales.
  • Responsible for sales forecasts and reports to head of sales, monthly, quarterly, and yearly
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base specifically key accounts.
  • Determining and setting sales targets for the sales team, this will include individuals and distributors.
  • Allocating territories to sales staff and distributors.
  • Developing sales strategies.
  • Create tenders and quotes for new business.
  • Review and identify the current market and former opportunities through effective use of the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and social media, maintaining existing clients and winning new business.
  • Attending networking, exhibitions, and business social events to secure and grow new and existing clients.
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure projects are within time scales.
  • Plan with your manager how targets will be achieved and exceeded.
  • Review your territory regularly and discuss territory performance with your manager on a quarterly basis.


You will need:

  • BA bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent with experience in Workholding or tooling as a related field
  • Must be able to evidence their experience in Engineering Design and Workholding.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience working in Engineering.
  • Ability to read and create technical drawings.
  • Experience managing a sales team.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas.
