Matchtech is currently seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join their Highways team on a contract basis. This role involves supervising the highway drainage system, road upgrades and general civils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and overseeing highway drainage system maintenance activities
- Managing surface water run off and ensuring proper drainage to green areas
- Coordinating with teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Conducting regular inspections and assessments of highway drainage systems
- Reporting on system conditions and maintenance activities to higher management
- Implementing and monitoring risk management strategies
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards
- Managing resources and schedules effectively to meet project deadlines
Job Requirements:
- Experience in supervising highway projects
- Understanding of surface water run off and green area drainage
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Relevant qualification in a related field
