We are recruiting in the Midlands for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor, to join a growing and privately-owned Asbestos company. Candidates will need strong organisational skills in order to effectively plan their appointments and ensure to complete within agreed timelines. Access to the M1 would be beneficial for more convenient access to client sites. They are offering attractive salaries as well as benefits, such as: company pension and use of a fleet vehicle.
Candidates will ideally need to be based around: Nottingham, Ilkeston, Beeston, Castle Donington, Loughborough, Derby, Kirkby in Ashfield, Mansfield, Burton upon Trent, Ashby-de-le-Zouch, Coalville, Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield, Swadlincote, Cannock, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Solihull, Birmingham, Dudley, Coventry, Rugby, Penkridge, Stafford.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P402, or RSPH equivalent
- Will have strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, ideally within a UKAS accredited company
- Excellent understanding of the UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
- Ideally will have experience with using Tracker / TEAMS, but this is not essential
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Experienced in producing bespoke survey reports
The Role:
- Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across a range of commercial, residential and local authority client sites
- Writing detailed survey reports, including drawings / floor plans
- Safely collecting samples from site and delivering to the laboratory
- Contacting clients to arrange site access and discuss requirements
- Managing your own workload and diary in order to complete projects efficiently
- Representing the company in a professional manner
