Newly created role in a small independent business delivering ground-breaking solutions for assisted living in the healthcare market. Having launched their first breakthrough product last year they are now ready to expand our horizons and are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team.

You will be the first business development person for the company working closely with the Director. The first product is an award winning new innovative bathroom adaptation, and you will be responsible for opening doors within Care Home, Residential care, Occupational Therapy, Councils and bathroom adaptation businesses. Making contact and demonstrating the product to healthcare professionals looking to generate orders or trial orders. Proactively seeking new ways to generate business and contacts. Also attending relevant events and conferences.

Hours: Full-time or part-time - to be discussed at pre-screen & interview stage

Salary: up to £30,000 basic + £17,000 OTE uncapped. 25 Days Holiday + 8 BH, Laptop, phone, pension contribution.

Please note this role does have the option for hybrid working (phone/laptop equipment is provided by the client). Some on-site working will be required so ideally the successful candidate will live local.

About the Business Development Executive Role

Working for a small company your goal will be to successfully form a rapport with potential new business customers. Your role will involve targeting, identifying, marketing, and scheduling appointments for the range of solutions offered. This is a key role as the company looks to continue their growth. You will be confident, curious & willing to ask questions to establish what solutions, if any, these potential customers currently use, whether it is suitable & how you could help them. You will be provided with tools for success, including access to a CRM including some existing leads and B2B customers. You will be required to record your communications with each customer on the CRM.

What duties will be included in the Business Development Executive role?

  • Confidently target business prospects via telephone and email to identify new opportunities.
  • Appointment setting
  • Promote existing products and explore opportunities for new product opportunities by listening to the voice of the customer.
  • Achieve sales targets set by the director
  • Ensure all details remain up to date for new and existing customers in the CRM.
  • Work collaboratively with the director.
  • Build good relationships with prospective and existing customers using a confident and professional sales led approach
  • Attend tradeshows and other relevant industry events and conferences

What will you bring to the Business Development Executive role?

  • Previous Telesales/New Business Introduction sales experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience of working within healthcare industry is highly desirable
  • Familiar with telephone and in-side sales
  • Demonstrable stability and success
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team
  • Able to work under own initiative and be self-motivated
  • Willing to work to targets and company KPIs
  • Experience of working independently and using initiative.
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Flexible and positive can-do attitude
  • Hardworking and reliable and wanting to progress

Where is the New Business Development Executive role based?

Ideally you will live in Nottingham/Newark/Lincoln/Grantham or the surrounding areas and have a car as public transport to the offices in Long Bennington is limited.
