Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking to hire an Interim Commercial Manager to support requirements in Corporate and Professional Services. This role is currently running until the end of March 2025 (potential to extend) and offers a day rate up to £450 per day (INSIDE IR35). This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectations to be on-site 1-2 days per week in the offices in Nottingham. Candidates applying must be immediately available or be able to start at short notice (i.e. 1 week notice).

Reporting into the Commercial Lead, the successful candidate will support a range of requirements covering Corporate and Professional Services (i.e. legal services, research, print services, language services, office supplies, office furniture). You will lead procurement activities across the business, working closely with key internal customers for the contract management of multiple contracts ensuring compliance and value for money.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Strong experience working similar roles in the UK Public Sector i.e. roles in Procurement, Category or Commercial Management
  • Track record delivering compliant end to end Procurements or using Government Frameworks for Goods/Services covering Corporate and/or Professional Services
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills - ideally someone who is a self-starter and can work on multiple projects at once
