Project Engineer

My client is a leading provider of innovative security solutions, delivering complex and tailored projects across the UK and Ireland. With decades of expertise, they are committed to delivering high-quality, customer-focused results that meet the most stringent industry standards.

We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to play a key role in shaping final designs and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and procurement to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing detailed project designs with the Technical Design Department.
  • Support the implementation of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Oversee procurement, planning, and health & safety during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Deliver training and compile comprehensive O&M documentation.
  • Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to the Service team.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience in integrating and testing complex security systems.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards and NSI Gold Standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project and Visio is desirable.
  • ECS card and SSSTS qualification required.
  • Essential technical experience includes:
    • IP networks and switch configuration
    • CCTV 
    • Intruder Detection Systems (e.g., Honeywell)
    • Access Control Systems (e.g., C-CURE, CEM)
    • Planning, installation, and commissioning of security systems
