THE ROLE

The Project Architect role involves running one or more of your own client projects under the direct instruction of the relevant Associate Architect or Company Directors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Oversee the design process from RIBA Stage 1 to 6, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Client Communication: Maintain and nurture client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and reliability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Directors and external consultants to produce comprehensive design packages.
  • Documentation: Manage the production of detailed specifications, construction drawings, and marketing materials.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Liaise with Local Authorities, Building Control, and other consultants to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Site Coordination: Address planning meetings, construction queries, and maintain office/site relations.
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Project Architect will have proven experience in design coordination and project management and have the following attributes and skills:

  • Qualifications: RIBA Part 3, ARB registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Architectural Private Practice, with at least 2 years post Part 3 qualification.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of BIM.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrates proactive commercial insight and risk management.
  • Leadership: Natural leader with strong influencing skills.
  • Organisation: Highly organised with excellent time management.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Dynamic and Adaptable: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
