We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Reliability Engineer to join a leading player in the rail sector, focusing on the performance and reliability of a critical fleet of machines. This is an exciting role where you’ll play a vital part in ensuring these essential machines operate at their best, directly impacting the maintenance and improvement of rail infrastructure.
The Opportunity:
This exciting role offers the opportunity to work as a Reliability Engineer within the rail sector. Your primary focus will be overseeing the performance of the grinder fleet, ensuring optimal uptime and efficiency. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, conducting failure analysis, and driving continuous improvements to increase/maintain fleet reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Reliability Management: Oversee the fleet’s performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and technical support to field engineers to resolve reliability-related issues.
- Failure Analysis and Reporting: Analyse machine failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards by updating and maintaining maintenance documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and enhance the longevity of the fleet.
Candidate Essentials:
- A strong background in Maintenance/Manufacturing roles.
- Hands-on experience in a technical environment.
- Ability to read and write technical documentation (drawings, schematics, and reports).
- Proven experience in stakeholder management.
- HNC qualification (or equivalent).
Desirable:
- Experience with Rail/Rolling Stock operations and systems.
