Teaching Assistant

Location: Nottingham, NG3

Daily Rate: £95 - £105 per day

Days: 5 days, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Dates: January 2025 - July 2025 (potential to extend or become permanent)

Job Role: Work with subject teachers and the SENDCo to support teaching and learning, by working with individuals or small groups of pupils with additional learning needs. You may be responsible for some learning activities, on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff.
  • Frequently work with individual pupils with special educational needs and/or with pupils for whom English is not their first language.
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupils' needs as appropriate.
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, relating to the needs of students you are supporting.
  • Support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils in each group you are supporting.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to attainment and progress under the direction of the teacher.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Holds a relevant Supporting Teaching & Learning Qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Comes with at least 6 month educational based experience (essential).
  • Has a strong knowledge and practical understanding of Special Needs (SEN).
  • Is passionate about supporting SEN and keen to ensure that students make continued progress.
  • Holds a valid and up to date DBS Certificate.
