Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level business support to the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) at Nottinghamshire County Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-profile environment supporting senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all communication into the CLT office, assessing and responding appropriately.

  • Oversee diary management and scheduling for CLT members.

  • Prepare reports, discussion documents, and correspondence on behalf of CLT.

  • Liaise with senior stakeholders, elected representatives, and external partners.

  • Conduct research and project work, presenting findings and recommendations.

  • Organise, attend, and support corporate meetings and events.

  • Arrange travel and ensure CLT members are well-prepared for appointments.

  • Produce internal communications, including the Chief Executive's blog.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensure efficient management of emails, phone calls, and letters.

  • Maintain high-quality and timely documentation.

  • Represent CLT professionally and handle tasks with initiative.

  • Support and guide apprentices as required.

  • Maintain secure, structured, and efficient office processes.

Person Specification:Education & Knowledge:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business/Management or equivalent experience.

  • Understanding of challenges affecting Local Government and Public Sector.

  • Knowledge of services provided by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.
