Description:

LHH is excited to partner with an independent firm in Nottingham that is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a senior auditor looking to take the next step in their career, or for an assistant manager keen to expand their professional experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage audits from planning through to completion, including supervision of the audit team.
  • Conduct risk assessments and determine audit strategies for each engagement.
  • Review and analyse financial statements and other relevant information to identify key areas of risk and opportunities for improvements.
  • Assist with the management and development of junior staff members.
  • Review work papers and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring a high standard of service and client satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist clients with the implementation of internal controls.
  • Liaise with the audit manager and senior management on progress and issues during audits.
  • Participate in the preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
  • Provide advice on accounting, auditing, and financial matters to clients.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA).
  • At least 3-5 years of audit experience in practice.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in managing a team and working with clients preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
