We are partnering with a Nottingham organisation, with a rich heritage spanning over 100 years, to recruit a Finance Manager for a six-month contract. This is an urgent requirement, and we are seeking candidates who are immediately available or can start at short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts for all group companies, including detailed commentary and variance analysis.
Ensure accounting practices across the companies are coordinated for seamless consolidated reporting.
Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, alongside handling deductions and employer charges.
Complete VAT returns for all companies.
Oversee a small team of three direct reports, providing leadership, support, and guidance to help them achieve their objectives.
Oversee the invoicing process, credit control, and debt collection operations.
Maintain and update financial systems and records, ensuring all procedures are documented.
Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial statements and support the annual audit process.

Candidate Profile:

Ideally, a qualified Finance Manager (or qualified by experience).
Experience managing management accounts, payroll, and VAT returns is essential.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support and manage a small team.
Immediate availability or availability at short notice is crucial.
