Our client is looking to recruit a new Finance Manager to work out of their growing Long Eaton based offices.  You will be responsible for taking on and developing the reporting and forecasting of MI and financial information with the goal of promoting commercially focused decision-making across the business whilst driving and optimising profitability and cash flow.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Holding responsibility for having up to date financial information available
  • Confident at managing and forecasting the company cashflow position
  • Owning and developing forecasting models improving their speed and accuracy and identifying the commercially relevant variables reporting to the leadership team
  • Providing value on analysis and present findings to key stakeholders to ensure they understand the impact of their plans on the delivery of project budgets
  • Overseeing 2 members of staff within the finance function
  • Owning the annual budgeting process including the budget models, coordination of data inputting and producing the budget presentations
  • Assessing the existing software systems and identifying opportunities to improve functionality

As Finance Manager, you will add further financial and MI reporting in response to the growing needs of the business, its workload and client base. You’ll play a large role in information and data being made available to stakeholders within the business to aid in the decision-making process. You will report directly into the MD and external FD.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • The ability to demonstrate knowledge of Financial Planning, Analysis and reporting
  • Ability to produce financial reports and present in a clear and concise manner
  • The ability to derive useful insight from MI/financial information, formulating an understand of problems, developing solutions and following these through to implementation
  • Be confident providing the MD advice on financial decisions for the business
  • Someone who is a team player
  • Excellent management skills
  • Ability to organise workload and prioritise to maximum effect for both you and your team
  • Flexible approach in a fast-paced business which is constantly changing, keep a clear head under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail when checking information with an ability to recognise and question anomalies
  • Keen problem solver who can focus on appropriate detail when solving problems and propose effective solutions
  • Willingness to take on a variety of duties as required
  • Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
