Our client is a well-regarded business operating within the automotive sector (Revenues of £1bn+) with their Head Office ideally situated within the East Midlands coupled with Hybrid working therefore making a commutable role from across the wide Midlands area.

As a result of internal promotions, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as Group Finance Manager

This position will be a key role to the business and support the Group Financial Controller with a range of Group Finance Duties.

  • BAU running the Group Finance team covering monthly reporting, external reporting, treasury, insurance and risk management
  • Acting as liaison between UK and parent company providing detailed analysis of performance each month
  • Lead role in the preparation, review, and coordination of any external reporting, being the Annual report, Half year results, IMS updates or bank monthly reporting, for the Group.
  • Lead role in the management of the Groups Cashflow Forecasting model and consolidation of the Group’s annual budgeting process (being used for Banking refinancing, Going Concern assessment and Annual budgeting).
  • Being a main contact for the Groups auditors, including being leading and reviewing all work for the key significant risk areas of the audit (including the Group’s Going Concern assessment, Goodwill Impairment calculations using discounted cashflow modelling and the Group’s Stock provisioning).
  • Business Partner with key stake holders across Group and Operational Finance Leaders
  • Play a key role in ongoing change and improvement projects around Systems, Processes and Controls including ongoing M&A and Integrations Into Group.

The ideal candidate for this position will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and ideally a strong technical grounding to include experience of UK Gaap with knowledge of US Gaap / SOX being highly desirable

Previous experience gained within a Group Finance role is an advantage however by no means essential, candidates working within a Big 4 / Top 10 Firm seeking a first move into Industry will also be considered.

This role promises to be varied and progressive and will offer ongoing mentorship and guidance from a high calibre Group Financial Controller.

A basic salary of £50,000 to £65,000 + Car, Bonus and Excellent Benefits coupled with ongoing career development awaits.
