Workshop Controller £35,000-£38,000 Nottingham Full Time – Permanent

Our client is looking for a Workshop Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be working to carry out various inspections, maintenance service and repairs. Working for the UKs largest dealer within their speciality.

Roles and responsibilities of the Workshop Controller:

  • Responsible for the efficient running of the workshop and maintaining high levels of productivity.
  • Ensuring the workshop machinery and tools are maintained whilst maintaining a professional workshop environment at all times.
  • Install a 'right first time' mentality with all your direct reports.
  • Providing technical support when required, during training or MOT testing.
  • Ensure team compliance with processes to ensure recording and invoicing accuracy
  • Ensuring good housekeeping and security in the workshop, leading by example.
  • Liaise with the Service department to ensure customers are kept informed and manage any complaints that may arise
  • Prior knowledge of the automotive industry essential.
  • Proven experience of coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
  • Be able to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
