Your new companyHays Education are working with a large secondary school in Nottingham who are looking for an experienced Attendance Officer to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.Your new roleAs an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting excellent attendance and supporting the students' welfare. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting data and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date attendance record for students
  • Liaising with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to address any attendance concerns
  • Being out in the community, conducting home visits and supporting families

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working within a school (essential)
  • Experience using school systems or ability to pick systems up quickly
  • Ability to have difficult conversations
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
