Role: HR Advisor

James Kay Associates have an exciting new opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join a growing retail client who are based in Nottingham.
This is very much a "generalist" HR Advisor position and an integral and key role in a busy HR central function where you will be involved in a wide range of activities including HR Support across the wider business, Recruitment, Candidate Onboarding and Employee Relations. The role will work in a HR team of 6, reporting into the HR Manager and will deputise for the HR Manager when needed, in a number 2 capacity.
What you will be doing:
- Provide expert HR advice, coaching and guidance / support to managers on people related matters
- Dealing with Employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary issues, managing attendance matters to performance management
- Overseeing the recruitment lifecycle, including the successful on-boarding all of employees
- Collaborating with other HR team members
- Work closely with business stakeholders
- Support L&D across the business and employee wellbeing
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar role and organisation
- CIPD L3 preferred but not essential if solid experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and able to prioritise and multitask
- Knowledge of the employee relations process
- Great communication skills and able to influence diplomatically and effectively at different levels.
My Client offer a great package for the right candidate including a basic salary of up to 35k working at their head office which is based in Nottingham.
Some flexibility on working hours can be accommodated but it is expected you will work during "core" business hours, 40 hours per week 8.30-5.
