Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding project? A well-established organisation in Nottingham is seeking an HR Consultant to deliver key initiatives during an important time of evolution. This role will be supported by the organisation's executive assistant.The Role: This six-month FTC offers an opportunity to focus on three core areas:

  1. Policy and employee handbook development: Review and refresh HR policies and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices, while supporting managers and employees to implement and act on these.

  2. Organisational Support: Provide guidance and expertise to enhance overall organisational effectiveness, advising on change processes and helping to implement sustainable improvements.

  3. Employee Relations Advisory: Support managers with employee relations matters, helping to foster a positive workplace environment and proactively address challenges as they arise.

  4. Generalist HR support: Advise on employment law and best practice in relation to all aspects of the employee life cycle, in particular contracts and training. This will also involve supporting the HR learning and development of the Executive Assistant.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong HR generalist experience, with a focus on policy development, organisational support, and employee relations.
  • A calm, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach to complex challenges.
  • Experience working in environments with diverse employment arrangements and a mix of stakeholders.
  • Practical knowledge of employment law and its application in unionised or collaborative settings.
  • The ability to align HR initiatives with organisational values and strategic goals.

Working Arrangements: This role offers flexibility, with hybrid working available (up to two days per week from home). You’ll work with a diverse and talented team to drive meaningful change.
