Are you an experienced Project Manager with excellent organisational and communication skills? Do you have demonstrable experience in IT project management in retail and/or manufacturing with involvement in small, medium and large organisations? If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Project Manager to join our client, a leading innovative manufacture based in Nottingham.

This is a part time role, four days a week, for a one-year fixed term contract. It is based in Nottingham and is offered on a hybrid working model, with two days in the office and two days working from home. However, the successful candidate should be flexible with arrangements, working with the needs of the project.

In this role as Project Manager, you will apply your project management experience and skills to assist with defining a future proofed IT architecture that will take the company into the next decade. You will use your research and planning skills to undertake an initial development phase - considering and analysing different systems before the implementation. In this latter part of the project, you will be responsible for managing all aspect of the implementation, including managing the change process and facilitating workshops with key users to accept, understand and use the new processes.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Managing Director but with responsibility for coordinating the assigned Project Teams providing excellent project management skills to include experience of delivering projects on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Working on the project in two phases - The Discovery Phase and The Implementation Phase
  • The Discovery Phase to include a full analysis of the business, process mapping and detailed research into several options of systems aligned to the business which will provide a future proofed IT architecture
  • Identification of suitable software suppliers that will provide a CRM system that will integrate data from the e-commerce platform, the remote sales team, the internal customer service team with order management, stock management and finance systems and provide real time data
  • The Implementation Phase to include managing the change process with excellent communication to all stakeholders through meetings and facilitating 'Change Workshops’ with key users
  • Further planning leading to a HR system capable of managing and driving 'people processes’ including a future target of automating payroll and upgrading operational processes such as the purchasing and stock management and finance systems

Project Manager Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of a broad range of IT project management within a Retail and Manufacturing background with experience in system planning, roll out and implementation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to work to deadlines ensuring great attention to detail
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness and flexibility to work well as part of a team to ensure the smooth running, progression and successful roll out of the project
