Stock Controller

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our client in Bingham. The ideal candidate will take ownership of inventory management processes, ensuring the business operates efficiently while maintaining optimal stock levels. This role is pivotal in supporting our client’s growth strategy by fostering collaboration across departments and with suppliers to minimise disruptions and optimise inventory processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support business growth by optimising stock levels and improving inventory processes.
  • Manage current stock levels, oversee stock flow and organise regular stock counts.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries and avoid disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Oversee system inventory, including setting up child codes and managing stock adjustments.
  • Implement strategies to improve stock control and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct daily inventory status checks and resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Raise purchase orders as required to maintain stock levels.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including warehouse staff and other departments, to streamline stock operations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a stock control, inventory management, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with suppliers.
