Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Nottingham 

Hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm

Job Summary: Seeking a highly organized and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing warehouse activities within a Metal Stockholders or any other high value item stockholder (i.e. Glass, Plastic, Lighting etc). You will be ensuring efficient storage, handling, and managing the distribution of metal products. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of metal products.

  • Ensure the efficient use of warehouse space and maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Implement and manage warehouse policies and procedures to optimize operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of warehouse staff, develop performance.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with the warehouse management system.

  • Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Handle and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the metals industry or a similar field.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics.
