Distinct Recruitment is delighted to present an exclusive opportunity for a driven and experienced Supply Planner on behalf of a FMCG business based in Nottingham. If you are passionate about demand planning and ready to take the next step in your career, this role could be perfect for you.

Role Overview: The Supply Planner will play a critical role in managing our client's portfolio of brands, making informed suggestions on stock purchases and quantities. This position is integral to sales forecasting and demand planning, ensuring optimal inventory levels and meeting the company's sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day supply of finished goods, considering general stock and key account demand.
  • Analyse stock information using various Microsoft packages to recommend purchase order requirements.
  • Oversee key account item and purchase order lifecycles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Assist in managing stock obsolescence and promoting supply chain goals through collaboration.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in finished goods stock management.
  • Experience with Far East vendor management (not essential).
  • Proficient in order processing and supplier monitoring.
  • Ability to generate basic demand forecasts from raw data.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formula writing, pivot tables, and LOOKUP functions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate decision-making processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
