Reed are working in partnership with the local authority and are seeking a Planning Administrator to join the Development Management service team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical and administrative processes for all types of planning applications, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient data management.

This is a part-time role and will be office based 5 days per week. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Deliver technical and administrative processes for planning applications, ensuring accurate data input, identifying planning constraints, and using the GIS mapping system for site plotting.Generate correspondence, update the website, and maintain accurate records using the Council’s planning software.Provide assistance, guidance, and advice to customers in person, by telephone, and by written correspondence.Process planning site history enquiries, provide historical information regarding developments, and liaise with the Legal team for documentation.Handle the technical and administrative processes for planning and enforcement appeals.Log all correspondence onto the Civica (Flare) system, manage emails received through the generic planning address, and respond appropriately.Provide day-to-day administration of the Civica (Flare) software to deliver ongoing service improvements and efficiencies.

Required Skills:

Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within a planning or development management context.Proficiency in using ICT systems such as GIS mapping, Civica (Flare), and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear guidance and advice to customers.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.Benefits:
