We are seeking a Site Manager to join a devoted team of staff in a secondary school within the Nottingham area.

Responsibilities:

Setting the priorities for maintenance and repairs within the school

Carrying out basic repairs

Managing access to the premises and maintaining security

Responsible for providing flexible, efficient and effective running of the school premises

Ensuring security, safety and high-quality cleanliness and maintenance of the school site

Monitor and store securely the equipment provided to you for the purpose of your work to ensure that it is kept in full working order

Ensure availability of adequate supplies of all materials necessary to undertake duties

Daily inspections of the site, inside and out, to ensure that all equipment is safe and that the removal of any dangerous materials or objects take place

Health and Safety:

To be familiar with and assist with the implementation and monitoring of the schools Health and Safety policy

To undertake regular and record Risk Assessments

Responsible for ensuring that regular (termly) fire drills are carried out on a whole-school basis

To be one of the points of contact for staff wishing to report hazards or unsafe practices

Responsible for the safety of staff under his/her control by ensuring the operation of safe working practices

Education and Qualifications:

Relevant Diploma or Degree in a relevant subject such as building studies, building engineering, surveying, civil engineering or construction engineering

Relevant Health and Safety Certificate
