Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (depending on level of experience)
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our client, a UK leading steel stockholder based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily routing of our client's fleet, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a fleet of 10 vehicles.
- Address driver queries and provide support.
- Plan jobs onto the transport planner throughout the day, focusing on consistent routing and handling last-minute orders.
- Handle sales queries regarding delivery times.
- Conduct loading checks and warehouse sweeps for non-loaded items.
- Adapt to changes and plan efficiently under pressure.
- Manually print delivery notes and manage paperwork.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Commercial Director to ensure effective deliveries.
Requirements:
- Strong geographical knowledge of UK is essential.
- Strong background in transport planning.
- Organised and able to handle high-pressure situations.
Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 09:30-17:30.
- 28 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
