We are looking for an experienced School Office Manager to lead and manage the school’s operational, administrative, HR, and business management functions in Nottingham.

This role is crucial in supporting the Headteacher and school leaders to focus the smooth operation running.

The successful candidate will be part of the school’s operations team and will be responsible for ensuring the school operates effectively and efficiently.

Day to Day of the role:

Coordinate the school’s professional development program, ensuring staff needs are prioritised and training records are accurately maintained.

• Advise on continuous professional development options and lead on ad hoc staffing projects.• Manage staff pay processes, resolving any anomalies and responding to pay queries in line with Trust policy.• Assist with the planning and monitoring of the school’s annual budget and manage the purchasing process.• Oversee the management of examinations, commissioning of agency staff, and ordering of school resources.• Operate relevant equipment and IT packages, providing advice and guidance on administration systems and school events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in staff management, training• Ability to coordinate professional development and manage recruitment and induction processes.• Knowledge of safeguarding, record keeping, and financial management within a school setting.• Experience with resource management, including examinations and school resources.• Strong organisational skills and proficiency in IT systems, particularly school MIS systems.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide guidance to staff, pupils, and others.
